Lively discussion • Upper Antelope Canyon, Near Page, northern Arizona, USA
May 13, 2005 " By Moshe

Here's another photo from Antelope Canyon, located on Navajo Nation land. It is a slot canyon, the most visited one in the Southwest, because it is easily accessible, extremely beautiful, with just the right combination of depth, width, rock color and light. This slot canyon has two parts, the upper and lower canyons. We visited only the upper part at this time.

It's a pretty expensive visit compare to other parks in the states. We paid a fee of $6 a person for a permit to enter Navajo territory, and an additional fee of $15 a person for the guided tour. We left our van at the gate, and joined a group

that was taken to the canyon in a truck. The driver was also our guide. We were given an hour to see the canyon, which is quite small, but had enough time to take lots of photos.

Every penny was worth the visit. The place is amazing, and since we were there around noon - the light conditions were ideal, and the sun rays came just from above down to the canyon's floor. Amazing sights!
