what a beautiful place that would be to live! absolutely breath taking!
it's pretty here too, in Michigan, but it's flat and I really miss hills and mountains.
Great crow catch and the mountain reflection in that home's window, wow

Thanks for your comment, Ari :-)

I fell in love with the Rockies on the first Time I've visited Canada almost 6 years ago. There's something about them that brings so much calmness to me... Maybe it's the fresh air, but I know their mighty looks has a lot to do with it as well... Untouched wild land always makes me amazed...

Untouched and wild! Beautiful. How would you like to clean the glass in the photo someone's house?

Yesterday (another gorgeous day) we went on a day trip to Canmore. The town of Canmore is nestled on the eastern edge of the Rockies, 100 km west of Calgary. It has an interesting history. It started as a divisional point for the Canadian Pacific Railway in 1883, and in 1899 it was well established as a mining town. The last coal mine was closed in 1979, and Canmore became more focused on Tourism. This was boosted in 1988, the year of the Calgary Winter Olympics. Canmore was selected as the area for the Nordic ski events.

It's still a small town, but it's growing and blooming as we speak, and has very attractive opportunities regarding the cost of living. We'll upload photos from our trip in the next few days. Today, we start with the road to Canmore, and something of what it looks like.

Yesterday we spent few hours in Fish Creek park, with friends and their dog. This park is one of the largest Provincial Parks in Canada located within a city. It's a great area for lots of recreation activities, and one of our favorite places in the city for bike rides.

It was a gorgeous spring day, but it didn't change the fact that the park is still brown and sleepy. It'll take few more spring days like yesterday + some rain to awaken nature and start getting green again. It'll come... soon...
