• The Elbow falls were another stop on our day trip few days back. As winter approaches, the Elbow river is pretty low, and one can already see some ice above the falls. An enchanted place we love to visit few time every year, in different seasons, to see how it changes.... and... it's only around 50 km away from home. Close *s*.

• One of the things I love to do while we're driving around downtown or other parts of the city is - no surprise - taking motion photos from the van. Sometimes, they come out pretty sharp too. In other times, there's nothing much to see there but blurry stuff.
So today we post four photos, three of which were taken from the van while driving around. The first one was taken in the downtown area few days back (when we returned from our day trip to Bragg Creek and the Elbow falls). The next two sunset tree photos were also taken from the van, and the last sunset photo is from the Bow river. All were taken the same afternoon.

It was a sunny day yesterday (Monday), the last of Joe's 5 days weekend, so we decided to drive to Bragg Creek area. From Bragg Creek we drove towards the Elbow falls, and on the way we stopped at Allen Bill pond. In summer time it's a great place for fishing and picnicking, and in winter the pond freezes and people can skate on it.
When we approached the pond we noticed most of it was already covered with ice. I've tried to break a piece of it, and it was around 0.5 cm thick. The wind was gusting from time to time, and when it did - the ice was covered with ripples of water and the reflection of the trees and sky disappeared for few seconds. It sure was a strange sight.
We'll post more photos from this trip in the next few days.

• Joe's son got married yesterday. We took lots of photos during the ceremony and the reception, but the newly weds didn't like the idea of having their photos on the web. They agreed to have this one photo online, though... we asked, and made sure it was ok, and they won't shoot us for doing so *s*.
It was a beautiful ceremony, an emotional one as well. Weddings bring people together, allowing them to leave whatever disagreements they have behind. Guys, if you're reading this by any chance (probably making sure we kept our promise to upload only this one photo) - we wish you all the best... for eternity *s*.
