The other day, after taking photos by the river, and then around downtown, we headed back home... and then, we saw the Sundogs... a strange (though enchanted) phenomenon. It was the second time I've seen them here, but this time they were seen through a heavy fog, which flooded the sky in seconds.

It was amazing to see how it all folded before our eyes. The downtown buildings almost disappear in the fog. The sun was a huge fireball hanging in the sky... and there were the sundogs.

What do ya know... yesterday, we finally gathered enough courage to go out and take new photos!!! It was -25C, mind you, but we decided the situation was impossible! If we were to sit and wait for the weather to get warmer, we wouldn't be able to take any photos for a long time.

So, we dressed up for war: 2 of each clothing item (4 in some cases). We looked like drunk polar bears, but who gives a shit *s*. We drove around town, had few stops, and happily clicked. In the next few days we'll post some of the photos we took.

Today we post 3 photos from the Icy Bow river, including the one (the third one on this post) we submitted to the new Moody Monday challenge.

That snow is spectacular - the closer shots showing the translucent peaks are very effective. Our weather here in the UK tends to be somewhat more modest.

I like the photolog - I will enjoy browsing.

Not much to say. Very frustrated with the cold... still... and there's no end to it to be seen in the horizon. The sun is shining, though... with a lovely -25C to go with it *s*.

i-gizmo challenge for January 8, 2005, is Photographer. The Bow falls in Banff are a super splendid place to have wedding photos. The falls were a great background to this photographer's shot. Know what? We'll post a photo of the falls tomorrow. Oh, those memories of summer days.............. never mind ;-).

Thursday Challenge for today is Clothes. This photo was taken through the store's window. The doll was in a human size, and her clothes were very fancy. The whole sight was a bit strange, but very eye catching.

As annoying as it is, we still didn't get any new 2005 photos. It'll come, it's just temporary for sure! *s*. Anyway, here's an oldie which had never been posted before... Something in the way those wooden dolls were posed in the store window captured my attention. What are they doing? And btw... the right top corner? That's me *s*.

This is bloody ridiculed, actually... I so much wanted to post a fresh photo taken on January 1st, so we went out this afternoon (yesterday, January 1st), all bundled up, to shoot some photos. Yea, right! It was -26C out there, I had 2 pairs of gloves on my hands... and it was damn COLD!!! After 10 minutes or so I asked Joe to turn back and drive home.

But I wanted to post something on the first day of the year, so I took some photos in the house... didn't like any of them... so I went to this folder I keep where photos are waiting to be published... and found this one. Don't know why I didn't post it before, since it was taken few months back, and I liked it... Something in this kid's eyes captured my attention and heart. I played around with it, converted it to B&W, made it bigger, cropped the face... and there it is...

Oh well... now it's already January 2nd... not too late to post this, though... *s*.
