Our trip to the states
Our trip to the states

This is our last post before we leave on our trip to the states early Sunday morning. The trip is planned for 2 weeks, so we'll come back on Saturday, May 21, 05... unless we decide to stay a few more days. It might happen, you know *s*.

Because of the way this photoblog is built (simple html and FTP to the hosting site), we don't think we'll be able to post anything while we're away (even though we take a laptop with us). That's a shame, because we're going to take LOTS of photos we'd love to share with you, but that's the way it is. We'll have lots to post when we're back home. Meanwhile, you can check the archives if you like, and also the links page. There's lots to see here.

That's it... Take care, and come back around May 21... We'll be back! *s*.

I have been in the southern part of Arizona and the area that you are going to would be next on my list. Incredible scenes and, among other things, a photographer's dream. Make sure that the new camera is broken in and take lots of memory.

So here we are, in Moab, Utah, on our 4th day. First 2 days were a long drive of 1800 km. Next 2 days were pure joy. Arches NP and Canyonlands NP are gorgeous sights. It rained at times, and was sunny and warm at others. We're having a hell of a trip so far, and all is good. Taking lots of photos as well... Just need to let part of the plan go, 'cause we won't have enough time.

Mom, we love you and miss you, and will talk to you again before you leave.

Kerri & Justin... we're still very happy regarding your good news ;-)).

Bye, everyone who reads this... We will be back :-)).

Okee dokee... the new Canon EOS 20D has been purchased, with 2 yummy lenses, few filters and all kinds of goodies. We watched a DVD explaining how to operate this monster... lots to learn, and that will take time. For now, Moshe is playing with his new toy, and we already could see the power of SLR. Wow, this thing is so grand!!! *s*. Here are 2 examples.

You make me jealous, a 20D!!! I love that camera, I have a 300D, but I am just a starter, maybe in a few years!! First I want to buy a macro lens for this camera. Any suggestions, please mail me.

As I've mentioned in the About page, we also have a guest photographer here in JoLoLog. Moshe (my brother) comes over for a visit every year, spends few weeks with us, and shares our adventures... and camera (so you can see his photos here as well).

He'll be here in 11 hours, and what do you know? He finally decided to buy a digital camera. His choice is the Canon 20D, and we're going to have the chance to use it while he's here and see what a DSLR can do. We can hardly wait *s*.

So here's a photo of us he took last year when he was here (with our camera). In the nearest future you'll be able to see many many more of his photos for sure *s*.

Jeff | 05.03.05 - 7:53 pm |

He's willing to share, Jeff, but he needs the time to learn the camera, and he doesn't have more than few short days before we go on our trip on Sunday.

The house is almost ready, cleaning wise. Grocery shopping is done. My brother is going to be here in 36 hours. The trip plan (all 14 days of it) is done, and waiting to be printed. The itinerary says we're going to drive 5200 km... but I bet it'll be closer to 7000 km with all the driving inside the parks. What can I say... life is good *s*.

Manipulating photos is fun... all kinds of strange things happen. I like the way the photo above came up... U?

hehe ren ;-)).

Joe, we're taking a laptop to store the photos we're going to take... but we won't be going online to update... It's impossible considering our site is simple html and not one of the online blogs storage.
