Got a problem here... Loads of new photos, and not enough time to prepare and post them ... not to mention the fact we don't have enough time to visit and comment to our favorite photoblogs. That's what holidays are for, I guess... to take you away from the computer to enjoy the world *s*... and when it'll all end on June 8... we'll be sad...
Anyway, today we post 2 photos from our day trip to Kananaskis country few days ago.

Those photos - taken by the runway of Calgary's airport while the airplanes approached landing - come to show our amazement of what the Canon 20D is capable of. The RAW format is fantastic with the detailed data it provides, and with a little bit of tweaking - the photos come out clear, sharp and very satisfactory. This camera rocks our world ;-).
Just to clarify something... Photos taken by Moshe since May 2005 are with the 20D. Joe's photos were taken with our Olympus C5050Z. When I take photos with the 20D, it'll show beside my name. If there's nothing there - it means I used the Olympus.

Almost there

Great how you succeeded in capturing the planes in their movement..... and what a blue sky.
As of yesterday I started a photo log. I had a lot of foreign visitors lately who couldn't understand the Dutch language but just came to visit my site for the pictures. Thats why I thought it would be nice to open a photo log that everyone can read and comment on in English. Please visit when you have the time, I will regularly, almost daily, post new photos.

This photo is part of the second series from our trip to the USA on May 2005. It was taken at Bryce Canyon National Park, Utah. We were lucky to have nice weather on both days we spent there. One thing we didn't do was hiking down the canyon. All viewing and shooting were done from the canyon rim.
On the first day we drove through Bryce from south up north, and we stopped at most of the view points to enjoy the sights and take photos. The second day found us at Inspiration point at sunrise, and that was a real treat... the colors of the hoodoos were just magnificent! All in all, to really see Bryce, one needs more time in order to be in the right place at the right time of day.
Check the Bryce Canyon National Park series here. So far, we have 5 photos there.

Excuse our absence for few days, please... My computer went through rebirth for the last three days. Moshe installed new hard drive, more ram, new Windows XP, and did the installation of my programs. It's not done yet, but at least I can post photos again, and I'm very happy to have a machine that doesn't give me headaches, and it's faster ... for now *s*.
We were very happy to read the comments you left on our first photos from our trip. We're glad you liked them, and yes - there are many more waiting in line to be posted. Soon, we promise *s*.
For now, we bring you three photos we took yesterday on a mini trip we took here, close to home. We want to post those first since they were taken - for the first time - in RAW format (only on Moshe's camera). What a treat this is... and such a different world all together.

We're back home, safe and sound! Very satisfied with what we saw... A bit disappointed of the bad weather we experienced for the last few days of our trip, that prevented us from seeing everything we planned to see, and made us come home two days earlier... Happy with many of the photos we took... A bit sad we couldn't take many more.
But, all the camping gear is back in the basement... the house is clean... the washing is done... groceries were picked up last night and the fridge is stuffed, and all the 2300 photos we took are saved on our hard drives and burned on CD's. Yeap, we're back *s*.
All in all, it was a great trip, and we have loads of photos to remind us of the sights we've seen. We'll post some of them in the next few weeks, so those of you who love landscape photos from the parks of USA - come often, since you'll have lots to see here *s*.
Today we post four photos, all part of our first series of the trip, Upper Antelope Canyon. Check it out. We hope you'll enjoy them, and would love to hear what you think.
