Thursday Challenge for today is Beverage. The above photo was taken at The million dollar bar, Jackson Hole, Wyoming while we were on our USA parks trip vacation last May. We just had an evening out, Joe and Moshe had a beer and played pool, and I've found a camera in my hands... so I was playing *s*.
This bar is well known, and attracts many tourists, day and night. We throw in two more photos from that night, with lots of red and atmosphere.

• Moshe is on his way back home, flying high above Canada towards Toronto. I can't find the words to describe how much I miss him already. Each Good-bye we go through saddens the three of us to no end, but we know too well it is part of the deal. First, the joy of meeting again. Then, the joy of spending time together and sharing our lives for a few weeks. Then... the inevitable farewell. That's how it goes... the joy, and then the sadness... till next time, when we meet again.
We had the time of our lives together. Give me a day or two, and you'll be witness to some of it *s*.

• Usually, we (Joe & me) don't take photos of strangers in the street, for few reasons:
1) We're too shy to "stick" the camera in people's faces.
2) We feel uncomfortable to take photos of strangers and publish them, not knowing what the outcome might be.
3) We don't have a good enough camera to come close enough with the lens, but still remain far enough so people won't notice what we're doing.
And yet, we want to publish 2 photos of strangers today. Moshe took them in Lake Louise, while this couple was posing for someone they knew, and they looked so happy and beautiful together... We can't resist the temptation to post them here, with hopes no one will get angry with us *s*

Can it get any better?

I am also not one for taking pictures of strangers, or people in general.... more of a nature and animal photographer. But sometimes there are beautiful moments to shoot. I do have a lens so I can stay far away enough to respect the people but close enough for a good shot...
This one is nice, I love her smile.

I love taking pictures of people doing different things but I hate coming up close. That's why I like my 70-200mm lens. I think it's just perfect for this. I'm curious why his glasses are so fogged up though.

they look wonderful and full of happiness and love, I can't imagine them being offended by this photo - it is too bad you can't send them a copy as I'm sure they would love these :-)).

Yes, it was a too good to pass on photo... and we don't know about the glasses... We think they were sun glasses... These people were speaking a foreign language, so maybe they were tourists. Anyhow, we love their photos.

Busy busy busy... still. We're done with the installations and whatever on my renewed computer. Back up of the thousands photos we took last month has been done as well... no time for much of anything else, though we have lots of photos already ready and waiting to be posted. It'll happen in few days, after bro will go back home. For now, we want to make a good use of the short time we still have together.
The photos bellow were taken at Bow lake, on our last day trip on May 30. We drove along highway 93, which goes from Lake Louise (Banff National Park) to Jasper (Jasper National Park). To all Albertans among you - if you never drove this highway, make a point to do it this summer! There's so much to see along this highway - it sure worth it!

Yeap... finally, World Photo Day 2005 is here... and lucky us - it was a rainy gray day here in Calgary, though there was still this special feeling of softness and crispness in the air, which we quite liked. We had only 2 hours to hunt for photos since Joe is back to work, so we drove to downtown, took the C train back and forth, and... took photos.
These photos are our submissions to this project. We also created a project page, where we added five more photos we took today in downtown Calgary... Rainy beautiful day it was *s*.
Also, check the many submissions on the WPD site. Lots to see there... photos portraying everyday life all over the world.

Waiting - Moshe's submission

Transportation - Joe's submission

Transit - Lorien's submission
