Beach promenade, Old city of Jaffa, Israel October 2002 Taken by Lorien

This photo was taken back at October 2002, while I was visiting my family in Israel. We didn't have our digital
yet, so this one was taken with my Minolta X-700 SLR 35 mm. But, our scanner is not so good, so that's what
we have to show for the Analog challenge.

The old city of Yafo (Jaffa) is actually a part of Tel-Aviv in its southern side. Holding in the mysteries of old
times, the narrow city streets lie quietly among old stone buildings, going down to the seaside promenade.
The whole complex was renovated years ago, and is now a home to many artists and their studios. You can
also find there old churches and mosques, since Yafo carries the mark of all those who made it their home
throughout countless generations.

That's a place I always remember with a smile. We used to go there on hot summer evenings to get some
breeze from the sea, look at the stuff the artists sell, see stage shows... and even treat ourselves with a good
seafood dinner at the old harbor's restaurants. The one place I loved the most was the flea market, which is
not too far away.

That's it...
