Wonders of the body

It's wondrous how one's body works. As I wrote yesterday, the scale showed a 1.8 lbs gain in the morning, made me angry to the bone, pushed me to work harder on the treadmill, eat better, drink my water and behave. I thought I knew what made me gain... an un responsible binge was part of it, but I wasn't sure what else. Anyways, the day went by perfectly in all fronts, and I was relaxed and hoping for success when it ended.

So this morning I couldn't stay away from the scale, even though there was this chance it'll show the same reading and make me angry again. But... I couldn't stay away so I hoped on it anyway, and... it was so friendly I wanted to kiss it! The reading this morning was 165.4 - 3 lbs less than yesterday.

So I wonder... It's clear and obvious that I didn't lose 3 lbs of fat in one day. What was it, than? I think it might have been some water retaining that made me heavier for a while. Or, my body has become quite comfortable with the regime I imposed on it since the start of this round, and slowed down its reaction.

The funny part is... I finally realized my body was telling me something for the last few days. There was a message there somewhere that told me to make a change to the regime, and even though I noticed - I didn't react properly. So, the presumptuous, self-confident entity which is my body decided to call me for attention by making me so angry I'd make a change. Ha... clever little thing, because it worked so well.

Lesson learned: Change is good. Change with food, change with the workout. Keep the body alert on its toes, and get the results you crave for. OK, point taken, and stuff will be planned to play this game further, because no matter what - I want to win so badly!!!
