We still have lots of photos from last summer we'd like to post, so I guess they'll be posted in the next few weeks. Today we play with B & W and semi - infra red manipulations. More pearls of Alberta landscapes we love so much... in B & W... with hopes you'll enjoy them as well *s*.

On September 16, 2004 we had a day trip to Medicine Hat. The city is located in southeastern Alberta, approximately 300 kilometers southeast of Calgary. We drove there on the same day Canadian idol was to be declared, and one of the two favorites was Kalan Porter from Medicine Hat... which won that same night, and brought lots of joy to medicine Hat's people.

We found lots of webs on an old locomotive standing in one of the city's parks by the river. And we also took some mushrooms photos, and also a photo of the city's most beautiful church - St. Patrick church, which was built in a Gothic style, and sure looks impressive! Check here for more photos from today.

Photo Friday challenge for this week is Still life.

Gian Di Sarno says: "I work designing, I relax designing, and I feel blessed to have as profession my preferred hobby". He's more an illustrator than a photographer, and on his photolog at Fotolog.net he posts gorgeous illustrations of other Fotolog.net members' photographs. Very interesting!

Two and a half weeks ago... another day trip to the country side. It was before the first snow. Few fields still had hay bales laying around, but the colors were mostly yellow and brown. It was a sunny bright day - something we're going to tremendously miss from now on... till next spring.

Too bad that most of the original wooden grain elevators are gone.
