We miss summer! We're totally ready for summer! Ok, Spring will do too *s*. Going through last year's summer photos make me restless. The soul wanna go out there and see all this beauty again.

We thought the above photo of Two Jack lake wasn't good enough for posting, since it was a hazy day, and the photo looked flat and dull. I guess I've accumulated some knowledge in PS to save it and bring the scenery back to life *s*. We hope you enjoy it!

Love the Banff NPL gallery and my favorite of the series is the boat house. I'm in awe with that one. I hope to go back to Banff one day, I have so fond memories of the area

When? Yesterday afternoon, February 20th.
Where? Livingstone & Cavell, Extraordinary toys store at Kensington Rd., Calgary.
Why? Because we like snooping around places we've never been to in the past.

The store carries toys we've all known in the past. Remember the Meccano assembling models, made of metal? They have them there. Remember the wooden horse we could climb on and ride to the sunset? They have them in different sizes. And so on and so fort...

Walking around brought childhood memories to the surface. We became excited as kids with every toy we found, and used to have in the past. Oh, the simple life we had back then... the real appreciation and love for every single toy we had (and we didn't have lots)... It feels so good to go down memory lane at times, doesn't it? *s*

So we're going to post few photos from the store in the next few days.

Though quite cold, it was a gorgeous bright sunny day, so we went out to the city, and walked around this area of Kensington Rd... An area which we go back to again and again because it reminds us of Europe. Little colorful stores, coffee shops and restaurants - just the way we love it *s*.

While walking on 10th St. bridge, Joe noticed this ring around the sun... a full complete ring. It was a hazy day, and the ring's colors weren't very bright, but still... very well seen. So Joe put this street light post just between the camera and the sun... and clicked.

Here's another photo from our last trip to Kananaskis country on January 24th, 2005. It was taken on the shore of Upper Kananaskis Lake, in the late afternoon. The sun was getting ready to disappear, and a storm was getting ready to "hit" the lake. The wind was blowing like crazy, it was damn cold, but Joe insisted on going out of the van and snapping few shots. I'm glad he's so stubborn (sometimes ;-))! Here's the whole Kananaskis country series.

Photo Friday challenge for today is Rural. This photo was taken last summer, and believe it or not, this rural area is less than 10 minutes drive from our place, right here in the big city. We like to go for a walk over there in the fields, it's a great area to capture the sunset. Yeap, it's an island of countryside right here in the city!
