• There was a red light lamp in the room. I stood right in front of it, holding the notes, and Joe held the camera above my shoulder and took the photo. Just experimenting with a different light... interesting.

• i-gizmo challenge for April 16, 2005, was Snapshot.

Have you heard about the new light that will some day replace our present light bulbs?

Running late today... Yesterday I deleted something I shouldn't have from my computer, and now the gamma settings are a bit different. Darn, everything looks different to me now. Want my old settings back... I'm afraid to touch any of our photos, afraid they might look strange... Does the one up there look strange color wise?
Anyway, here's another one from downtown, of the two iron gentlemen. They're cute... I like them!*s*.

Joe, thanks for your concern... I think I've managed to bring everything back to the way it was before... At least I hope so :-)).
Thanks for the comments, guys. Those two are my favorites, and today I took another one of them, and might post it in the future... we'll see :-)).

This is one of the photos we're most proud of. The original huge file looks better than every other photo we've taken in the past. Post processing was minimal here... the photo showed itself just the way the scenery was that night. We're very pleased. Hope you like it too...

The photo above is part of our new series, Del Bonita. This tiny place, which is in part ghostly already, is situated only 3 km from the Alberta/Montana border. We drove through there on April 7th on our way to Waterton Park, and stopped to take photos. Another one of Alberta ghost towns... which we love to visit and document *s*. Click here to start your journey through Del Bonita.

• Our grandson Jayden is three months old today. We saw him three days ago, and sadly, I needed to keep away from him since I wasn't sure I was totally over my nasty cold, and didn't want to "share" it with him. Next time, I'm gonna hold him for sure!
Boy, he has grown and changed, and now he looks like his dad (Joe's son). Three months sweetness, right? *s*.

The light and tones in this are to die for, so beautiful and full of mood and atmosphere, this one should be printed large and hung on a wall. Really stunning!

• One of the art pieces scattered around the streets of downtown Calgary is the metal horse. We couldn't find any information about it and the artist who created it on the net. All we can say is, the spot it was put on is the worst spot anyone could've chosen for an art piece. It's almost impossible to take a decent photo of it, since it is stuck into the street's corner, between the wall of the nearest building and a huge box that seems to be an electricity box.
The piece itself is made of what seems to be metal parts of machines... a very interesting ensemble that together looks like a huge horse (You must check the gorgeous version potty took of this same horse).

Good thing it can't kick
• And since i-gizmo's challenge for April 9, 2005, is Animal, here's another version of the metal horse, this time from the side.
