September 1, 2005, marked the 100 Birthday of Alberta, Canada, as a province. Along the year before this date, many celebrations went on around the province. After all, it's a date that comes up ones in every 100 years... and we were around to take part in it *s*.

Celebrations in Calgary started officially at Downtown's Olympic Plaza, on 3:00 PM, September 1, 2005, and ended with a spectacular fireworks show on 10:10 PM that day. This series aims at showing our visitors what went on in those 7 hours, and how we Calgarians enjoyed the celebrations. We start with few photos today, and in the next few days we'll add more. If you'd like to start the viewing from the series' main page, go here.
