All kinds of victories

Numbers this morning: Weight = 149 lbs, blood pressure = 117/75, heart pulse = 63. See, it's the fact that I kept my deal with my body that brought me here. The deal says that if I treat my body right - it'll cooperate with me and go to the happy place I want it to go to. So, eating was to the point the last few days, workouts were vigorous, and there you go - Blood pressure is good, 1 lbs down, and my body sailed through TOM like there was no TOM this month... almost. How cool is that??? *s*.

Now, let's see if the next time the ugly urge to binge rises its ugly head - I'll remember the pact with my body and chop it before it goes to far.

And since stuff goes very well for me, I've decided to challenge myself. Have you ever heard of Lake Agnes Teahouse, Lake Louise ? Lake Louise, up in the Canadian Rockies in Banff National Park, is the most beautiful place on earth in my eyes. A trail from the lake leads you up the mountain to Lake Agnes and a small teahouse. This is one of the most hiked trails in the Canadian Rockies. It's an enjoyable trail (so they say), there are stunning views of Lake Louise below, and a teahouse for refueling before the descent!

So... my challenge is to hike this trail this summer!!! All the way up and down!!! Time of the hike is an estimated half-day, approximately 4 hours return trip. The length of the trail is 7 km (4.5 miles) back and forth, and the level of difficulty is Moderate. The elevation gain is 367 m (1,204 feet).

It won't be easy, for sure, but Joe (who hiked this trail once, many years ago) says it worth the hard work! The breathtaking views from each point on the trail are just too good to pass by!

So, there's my challenge, and I'm already getting ready for it by taking the treadmill's incline up as much as I can. So far I walked on 4% incline for a full hour, and also on 5% incline for less than a full hour. I still have time to practice and build my endurance, because - this summer I'm gonna climb the trail up the mountain to Lake Agnes Teahouse!!!
