We don't expect to post a lot for a while... I went through a major dental work the other day, and sadly need to fight pain and inability to eat adults food. Yuck indeed, but that's life. Will try to post whenever possible *s*.

We're in a need of finding a special frame which will house a special photo... and it's an hard mission. There are so many out there, but it's hard to find the ONE... We'll keep looking, of course. BTW, that's the first time we're going to print a photo we took, which is enhanced with some graphic work. I wonder how it'll come out. Have to wait till tomorrow.

Another photo from Airdrie's festival of lights. We were a bit disappointed this year since the show didn't have any new exhibits, but still... it was beautiful. We went there quite early and took few photos, tried to warm ourselves by the open fire pits, and also witnessed a wedding. Yea, there was a couple getting married there, and the cool part? The bride walked towards her groom accompanied by a Santa. How cute is that?! *s*.

Nothing is better then to warm up by a dancing fire on a cold winter night! Tonight we drove to Airdrie, a small city north of Calgary, to see their annual festival of lights. Temp. was around zero... not too bad, but still cold enough to make us come close to the fire pit to warm ourselves. And we all know how fascination fire is, right?

Our 2 newest submission to those photography memes out there are (and yea... we're addicted ;-)): For Thursday challenge this week we brought in the Light... and for i-gizmo from last week (submitted on the last minutes before the new challenge was uploaded) we had a Cup. And btw... we had some nice surprises on the i-gizmo site today. Our submission from 2 weeks back, Night, got 3rd place, and also became the photo of the week. How fun is that??? *s*... We're very pleased indeed, and thank Nariman for the honor!

When I come down the stairs to the main floor at night time, that's what I see through our bay window (which is located in our dinning area) these days... that is, if I remembered to put the X-mas lights on beforehand. The main floor is darkened... all but this part of the room which allows the warm shiny lights to come in through the Venetian blinds.

And every time... it sends a tingling sense of pleasure down my spine. It makes me feel wrapped in warmth, cosy inside my own home, safe and secure. It's my own little corner of the universe... it is me!

So that's the first photo of a new gallery, Festive December 2004. I'm sure there will be many more to add to it as the month progresses. Stay tuned *s*.

Hey girl, how wonderful! I am using firefox browser today and when your sight cam up it was like a stage with the curtain coming down. First I saw the faces across the top and slowly the whole picture. What a delight. Hope all is well with you and Joe!

Tonight, the first candle of Hanukkah will light the room and warm our hearts. Since we're a multi-cultural-religions family, we celebrate two holidays across the month of December... and it sure feels good! *s*. I've already joined my brother over the Internet, and the first candle of Hanukkah is already spreading its light back home in Israel. We sang Hanukkah songs too.

So Happy Hanukkah to all who celebrate starting tonight. May the light be part of your lives, may your hearts filled with love... Have a wonderful colorful holiday with your loved ones.

Superb. And you know I wish you both the happiest of holidays. Been a turmoil around the homestead m'dear, but things should be quieting down before the end of the week. I've missed your company.

Photo Friday challenge for December 3, 2004 is Reflection. Since we love to visit the lakes and ponds of Alberta, we have lots of reflection photos... and it was a bit hard to choose, but the one we came up with was taken at Mount Lorette ponds, Kananaskis country, Alberta. It was a gorgeous day with no wind, the pond's water was crystal clear, and the mountains/trees reflection in the water was oh-so-yummy! *s*.

December 1st... My goodness, where did 2004 go??? Oh well... as long as we maintain good balance in our lives, we can grow old gracefully *s*. Today's photo is obviously manipulated. I've used this photo, cropped a part of it, flipped it 90 degrees, doubled it and flipped one half 180 degrees... and here you have it... balance. And since balance is the challenge for lensday.com this week, I first thought to use it, but later decided to use this photo to show the needed balance we all need in life to achieve happiness.
