• Dan the one man band is a well known street entertainer here in Calgary. You can't pass by him and continue walking... you have to stop and check him out. He sings, he tells jokes, makes funny remarks and observations, talks about life... in short, he has the soul of a real street entertainer, and he brings joy and fun to those who stop and pay attention.
We saw him at the Lilac Festival this year, had lots of fun, and took lots of photos. Here they are, in our new mini series Dan, part of our Faces of Lilac Festival 2005 series.

Just a week over 5 months. You look at him, you wanna eat him, he's so cute!!! *s*. He's the center of attraction wherever he goes... how can it be any different? He bewitches us grownups with his open wide eyes, sweet smile, innocence and curiosity. Sigh... the power of purity and cuteness... We're in love! *s*.

It's all about attitude... living the moment... sharing with a loved one... and not making every problem a reason to think the end of the world is near.
Yesterday, I had an appointment with the dentist... again. The ongoing saga of my teeth takes its toll on me, and sometimes I think it's a problem with no end and no solution.
Joe took the day off so he could be with me and support me with whatever feelings I had regarding the whole thing. And later in the evening we went out for a drive, and visited Calgary's rivers to check how they recuperate after the weekend's flood.
This photo was taken by the Bow river, on the path besides Fort Calgary (which was under water just few days back). Though the day was warm and sunny, we saw storm clouds forming all around us... The first marvelous sight of the evening.

Later we drove to our favorite hill to see downtown. It was around 9:30 PM, and the sun was getting ready to set. More storm clouds were building up around us, showcasing a spectacular view.

Much later, on our way home, we observed the MOST GORGEOUS sunset we've ever seen in our lives!!! We drove like crazy to find a good spot to take a picture, but by the time we got to one, most of the color show was gone, though some of it was still there for us to capture...

Again, we were on our way home, and Joe took this shot of the C-train while we were waiting for it to pass.

Do you think we got home right after this? Oh no. We spotted a gorgeous huge yellowish moon rising above the horizon, so we drove outside the city to have a good view... and we also saw some lightning storm around us... but those photos... mmm... aren't very representable... sorry.
I forgot the problem with my teeth. We eagerly savored the sights of mother nature into our minds and hearts. I realized all was well enough in my world, and there's no way it'll come to its end any time soon. A very good day was lived... Life is good! *s*.
